Accounting Codes

Introduction
Getting Started

Main Menu

All time in pay and dollar transactions must have an accounting code associated with them. If all of your time in pay and dollar transactions are charged to the same account you may store an account at NFC to use for all transactions for an employee.

Alternatively, you may use locally stored accounting. Locally stored accounts work similarly to NFC stored accounting, but the account is stored in webTA rather than at NFC. webTA then includes the accounting in the transmission file to NFC. This option is useful for agencies that want to generate reports from webTA that are based on account codes, but have set accounts for employees.

If you charge to more than one account but always charge to the same accounts see the Retain Data function for options that may be more appropriate.

The three options for this field are:

Manual Entry

You must select an account for each line of time in pay and dollar transactions.

Use Stored Account (NFC)

Store and use the selected account at NFC for all time in pay and dollar transactions. To use NFC Stored Accounting, click on the radio button next to Stored Account (NFC), then select the Account number to store from the Account dropdown list.

Use Local Stored Account

Store and use the account locally for all time in pay and dollar transactions. To use Local Stored Accounting, click on the radio button next to Stored Account (Local), then select the Account number to store from the Account dropdown list.
