You may place an employee on hold for a number of reasons.
When an employee is on-hold the verification, certification
and build processes of the T&A system ignore their record.
No records are sent to payroll for processing for on-hold
employees.
This is particularly convenient for co-op employees who are
not currently working, but are planning to return and for
employees on an extended leave of absence. They remain active
in the system and can be taken off hold whenever it is
appropriate.
